cut that city - 2004
this was a series of images that were initially inspired by the lyrics to the mars volta's "cut that city", before expanding into a chaotic exploration of london's canary wharf complex. (lyrics here.) in keeping with the layered, textural feel of the lyrics, the project began with stream of consciousness drawings layered over each other, before moving into photographic and illustrative colour work. the photographs from the project can be found in the photography section; however the final piece from the project, a mixed media piece, is in this section.
